In the past few days, our school MUN team traveled to the city of Boston, Massachusetts (USA) to participate in the 66th Harvard Model United Nations Conference. With more than 4.000 delegates from all over the world, our students had an outstanding performance by representing the Grand Duchy of Luxembourgat the European Economic Community (1975), the Special Summit on Millennium Development Goal, and the Commission on Population and Development. During committee work, several working papers sponsored by our students were presented, debated upon, and approved by most delegations, which demonstrates our students’ expertise in parliamentary procedure, as well as their talent to interact in an English native speaking context.
Visit to Harvard University Campus
Our MUN team had the opportunity to attend a personalized informational session that provided them with an exclusive one-hour setting to learn the latest insights into admissions, academics, and college life at Harvard University directly from undergraduates who are attending Harvard.
Visit to the MIT Campus (Massachusetts Institute of Technology)
On the same day, our students attended an information session for undergraduate students led by MIT admissions officers. This activity covered a variety of topics including academics, campus life, and the admissions and financial aid processes. At the end, there was a student-led campus tour.
